How can my business become more involved with YPN?
Encourage your employees to join -- at $50 or less per year, the membership rates are very affordable. YPN offers discounted rates for companies with five or more members and for non-profits or teachers who join.

Host a YPN “Road Show” at your business by emailing We can arrange for a few YPN members to come to your work site and provide a 15 – 30 minute overview of YPN. 

Become a sponsor – by sponsoring an event your company will be publicized to our membership, event attendees and business leaders in attendance. We also offer sponsorships that will place your logo on event signage and other promotional items.

Do I need to join YPN before attending an event?
YPN is always open for potential members to take a “test drive”. Just check out the events calendar and join us at an event soon!

Is there an age limit for YPN membership?
YPN programs are designed for those between the ages of 21 and 45 -- but there are members of all ages.

What types of professionals join YPN?
One of YPN’s biggest strengths is our members’ diversity of professions. Many different careers are represented within the YPN membership.

What cure does YPN offer for the “Common Social Life"?
The greatest friendships develop within YPN – whether attending YPN Feed Your Mind luncheons, meeting at a social, or volunteering within the community. From picnicking to black-tie events, there is something for everyone.

Does YPN just work hard or is there some fun too?
While we work hard planning big and small events throughout the year, we also know how to have fun. With every project, there is always a social element. Events are held at various locations throughout the area.

Are there minimum attendance requirements for YPN members?
No events are required. However, some events require an RSVP to ensure appropriate planning is in place for all who plan to attend. In these instances, please help YPN manage location, food, etc by RSVP'ing.

What is YPN’s affiliation with the Rocky Mount Chamber of Commerce?
YPN is an independent entity. However, YPN is a proud member of the Chamber – just like hundreds of other businesses and organizations in the community.

Is YPN part of a larger affiliation or “franchise?”
No.
YPN is an independent 501(6)c non-profit that operates on donations from local businesses, membership dues and sponsorships.

How are YPN members appointed to serve on the Board of Directors?
Most often the board approaches the most dedicated members regarding their interest. In other instances, potential directors have approached an existing board member regarding the process. Regardless of which path is initiated, a director application must be completed and submitted to the board for approval. If you have an interest in serving on the board, please e-mail .

How can I get my event added to the YPN calendar?
Email the event information to . Be sure to include your name and contact information, the event title, date, time, location and details. 

Will YPN send my organization's information out to its members on my behalf? 
Unfortunately we are not able to use our membership list for other organization's stand-alone messages. We do, however, gladly consider such items for inclusion in the community announcements section of our monthly newsletter and for listing on our website calendar, if we have received the request in time. Items received in the last 5 days of each month can usually make it into the newsletter that is sent the first week of each month. Calendar items can be added most any time but we suggest requests be sent at least a month in advance of the event. All requests should be sent to . Does YPN share or share the contact information of its members?
No, the membership information is not shared with or sold to any other organizations.

How can the YPN membership be recruited to assist other non-profits when the need for arises?
Requests for YPN to assist with other non-profit events/fundraisers can be submitted to . They will be reviewed by the appropriate committee and/or the board of directors. 
 

How can I become a YPN partner?
In order to be listed as a partner on YPN’s website, the company requesting this must have donated a product (event location, food, beverage, door prize items worth $100 or more, etc.) within the past year of making the request or they must be currently offering to pay for its employees YPN memberships. YPN reserves the right to remove partners from the website at any time.
